sono Stefano

Ciao! My name is Stefano and I have been an online Italian teacher for 5 years helping hundreds of students become fluent in Italian and making their Italian dream come true. I’ve also started an Instagram and Facebook page (@teacherstefano) to share tips and videos about learning Italian and understanding Italian culture. One year ago, I started creating my online course to help as many students as possible learn Italian following a structured curriculum and providing the best learning experience possible. I spent one year in the United States when I was 16 for an exchange program, and because of this, I don't just understand the struggles of learning a new language but also the most effective methods.

I owe special thanks to my Italian teacher, Stefano, who has so improved my Italian that I can have coherent conversations in Venice and with Italian tourists in Philadelphia. One of the greatest pleasures of writing this book was working to improve my ability to read and speak in Italian. That never would have happened without Stefano, who is such a great teacher. As a fluent English speaker, he understands why, as an English speaker, I get things wrong, and how to fix them. Under Stefano’s guidance, I have also deepened my understanding of Italian grammar, which informs my casual conversations in Venice. Recently, during an over-the-counter chat, a Venetian barista asked me where I was from, and when I said “Filadelfia,” she responded,“Oh, I thought you were Italian.” I owe that moment to Stefano. Mille grazie.
